Ingredients:
-
For the Ribs:
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
For the BBQ Sauce:
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Ribs:
- Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
- In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.
- Rub the dry rub mixture evenly over both sides of the racks of ribs.
- Wrap and Bake:
- Individually wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil.
- Place the foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bones.
- Make the BBQ Sauce:
- While the ribs are baking, prepare the BBQ sauce. In a saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Simmer the sauce over low heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
- Grill or Broil:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or set your oven broiler to high.
- Carefully unwrap the ribs and brush them generously with the BBQ sauce on both sides.
- Grill the ribs for about 5-10 minutes per side or broil in the oven until the sauce caramelizes and forms a delicious crust.
- Serve:
- Once cooked, let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing them into individual portions.
- Serve the BBQ Pork Baby Back Ribs with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
